The Lotus Aurea Promise
Every Lotus Aurea saree is thoughtfully sourced from artisan weaving communities, preserving centuries-old handloom traditions while bringing timeless elegance to the modern woman.
The Weaving Technique
Chanderi silk is woven on traditional pit looms using extremely fine, high-twist yarn, giving the fabric its characteristic sheerness, lightness, and natural sheen. The zari leaf buttas are introduced as an extra weft, hand-guided into the weave motif by motif using small shuttles and scattered across the body according to a planned layout. The border and pallu are woven separately using a dobby attachment to build their repeating patterns row by row, a slow process that gives the fabric its richly textured finish.
