The Lotus Aurea Promise

Thoughtfully sourced from artisan weaving communities, every Lotus Aurea saree preserves the rich heritage of Indian handloom craftsmanship while bringing timeless elegance to the modern wardrobe.

The Weaving Technique

Chanderi pure silk is woven on traditional pit looms using fine, high-twist silk yarn that gives the fabric its characteristic lightness and natural sheen. The Meenakari floral butis are created by hand-inserting small amounts of contrast-coloured silk thread into the weave at regular intervals, producing tiny jewel-like flashes of pink and silver within each motif. The zari border is woven separately using a dobby attachment, allowing weavers to build traditional geometric and floral patterns row by row with precision.
