The Weaving Technique
Banarasi Kota weaving unites two traditions — the airy, lightweight square khat texture of Kota with the opulent zari artistry of Banaras. The zari floral jaal is introduced as a supplementary weft and hand-guided motif by motif on a traditional loom, while the border and grand pallu are built up separately, giving the saree its rare balance of feather-light drape and rich Banarasi detail.
