The Lotus Aurea Promise

Each Lotus Aurea saree is thoughtfully sourced from master artisan weavers, preserving centuries-old handloom traditions while bringing timeless elegance to the modern woman.

The Weaving Technique

Tissue silk gets its shimmering, metallic quality from a fine gold zari thread woven into the weft alongside the silk yarn, catching the light with every fold of the drape. The Meenakari butis are created by hand-inserting small amounts of contrast-coloured silk thread into the weave at regular intervals, producing tiny jewel-like flashes of colour within each motif. The Nakshi Zari border is woven using a dobby attachment that allows the weaver to build intricate geometric patterns row by row, a slow and precise process that gives the border its raised, sculptural texture.
