Sea Mist Handwoven Chanderi Cotton Silk Saree

Product Details

Inspired by the tranquil beauty of morning skies and flowing waters, our Sea Mist Handwoven Chanderi Cotton Silk Saree exudes effortless elegance and refined charm. Woven by skilled artisans in the historic weaving town of Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh, this saree beautifully combines the softness of cotton with the delicate sheen of silk, creating a fabric that is lightweight, breathable, and graceful.

The serene aqua-blue hue is adorned with delicate silver zari floral buttas that shimmer softly across the body, while an elegant silver zari border lends a touch of understated luxury. The airy texture and fluid drape make it a versatile choice for festive gatherings, daytime celebrations, temple visits, intimate weddings, and sophisticated summer occasions.

Handwoven on traditional looms, each saree carries the legacy of Chanderi's centuries-old weaving tradition. Slight variations in weave and motif are a testament to its authentic handcrafted nature.

The Lotus Aurea Promise

Every Lotus Aurea saree is thoughtfully sourced from artisan weaving communities, preserving the heritage of India's handloom traditions while offering timeless elegance for the modern woman.

The Weaving Technique

Chanderi cotton silk blends fine cotton yarn in the warp with silk in the weft, woven together on traditional pit looms to create a fabric that is breathable like cotton yet carries a subtle silk-like sheen. The silver zari floral buttas are introduced as an extra weft, hand-guided into the weave motif by motif using small shuttles, while the border is built up separately using a dobby attachment to create its repeating pattern row by row. The blended yarn structure makes this weave especially well suited to warmer climates.
